a swingset of their own

After having children for over 7 years, and living in this house for over 5 years, we FINALLY have a swingset!!  We'd been in the market for one, searching craigslist for used sets (I'd rather recycle a used one if at all possible).  Then, when we found out that Adam's co-worker was looking to get rid of their old set, we took the opportunity to take it off his hands.  So, Adam loaded it up in the truck, and brought it home.


It took us a little bit to figure out how the pieces fit together...



Then Adam went inside to look at a photo that his co-worker had sent to him of the set, and it all came together quickly.  This was the final anchor.

Obviously...the kids LOVE IT!!!


In fact, the kids were so excited, that they helped bring screws, nuts, bolts, and tools when Adam and I needed them, and were sliding down the slide, climbing, and swinging just as soon as they could!  And they played and played on it form the second it was built, until dinner time!  I have a feeling they'll be living on it all summer long!  I'm so happy about our new {free} addition to the backyard!!
